NEPAL
INTRODUCTION

KATHMANDU
The
Valley situated at an altitude of 1336 meter above the sea level,
the political, commercial and cultural hub of Nepal, is the first
stop for the majority of visitors to the country. There are UNESCO
World Heritage Sites in the Valley. Pashupatinath One of the most
sacred Hindu shrines in the world, the richly-ornamented pagoda
houses the sacred linga, or phallic symbol, of Lord Shiva. Bouddhanath
Stupa kthmandu and is the largest stupa in the Valley. It looms
36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens
of stupa design
POKHARA
The
Pokhara Valley - one of the most picturesque spot of Nepal, is
enhanced by its lovely lakes Phewa, Begnas, and Rupa. Situated
200 kilometers west of Kathmandu, Pokhara is connected by air
as well or by bus Situated at an altitude of 827 meters from the
sea-level, Pokhara offers the magnificent views of Dhaulagiri,
Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, five peaks of Annapurna and others. Pokhara's
numerouslakes, known as 'tal' in Nepali offer fishing, boating
and swimming.
CHITWAN
Chitwan
is on the way to Pokhara from Kathmandu it takes five hours to
reach Chitwan. This is one of the Nepal's largest forest regions
with a wide range of wildlife- the rare great one horned rhinoceros,
several species of deer, sloth bear, leopard, wild boar, fresh
water dolphin, crocodile, more than 350 species of birds and the
elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. Visitors to Chitwan may view game
of elephant back excursions, nature walks, canoe trips
NAGARKOT
Nagarkot
Located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, is one of the most scenic
spots sunrise view of the Himalaya. Nagarkot has become famous
as one of the best spots to view Mount Everest as well as other
snow-topped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal. With
an elevation of 2,195 meters, Nagarkot also offers a panoramic
view of the Valley
JOMSOM
Jomsom
7,000 feet above sea level, situated in the heart if Himalayan
ranges . One has to fly from Pokhara to Jomsom The towering peaks
of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri form an attractive backdrop. However,
due to the strong winds that buffet the area in the afternoons,
The views from Jomsom are enchanting as the Nilgiri (7,061 m)
and Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) ranges Jomsom is also the gateway to
The Muktinath shrine that holds great religious significance to
both Buddhists and Hindus. This area is also famous for its delicious
