Day 1 : Chennai - Kanchipuram - Pondicherry ![]() Leave Chennai at 8 AM. Reach Kanchipuram at 11 AM. Distamce - 80 kms. Have darshan at Chitragupta Temple, Ekambeshwara emple.Shopping, Kanchipuram is also a well known centre of the finest silk sarees made in the country. Evening have darshan at Kailasanatha Temple. Proceed to Pondicherry. Distance 102 kms. Day 2 : Pondicherry - Chidambaram Visit famous Aurobindo ashram & sight seeing. Proceed to Chidambaram Distance- 65 kms. Have darshan at Nataraja Temple. Chidambaram is one of the foremost Saivite shrines; the very name Kovil refers to Chidambaram, where Natarajar is enshrined in the ChitSabha or the Hall of Consciousness. Have darshan at Sivakami Amman Temple. Day 3 : Chidambaram - Trichinapally - Thanjavur Reach Trichinapally 10 AM. Distance - 168 kms. Have darshan at Rockford Temple, Jambukaeshwar Temple.Have darshan at srirangam temple.This is the foremost of the 108 shrines glorified by the Alwars It is the one of the greatest centers of the Sri Vaishnava religion and among the most visited pilgrimage centers in India. Proceed to Thanjavur. Distance-50 kms. Day 4 : Thanjavur Early morning have darshan at Aiyarappan Temple, Brihadeeshwara temple, Navagraha Temple - Suryanar Koil (Sun)Navagraha Temple - Thingalur (Moon) Navagraha Temple - Vaidheeshwaran (Mars) Navagraha Temple - Thiruvenkadu (Mercury) Navagraha Temple - Kanjannur (Venus) Navagraha Temple - Alangudi (Jupiter) Navagraha Temple - Thirunallar (Saturn) Navagraha Temple - Thirunageshwaram (Rahu) Stay at Thanjavur. Day 5 : Thanjavur - Madurai Early morning have darshan at Swamimalai, the fourth among the six padai veedu or sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Muruga. Proceed to Madurai. Distance-221 kms. Day 6 : Madurai - Rameshwaram Early morning have darshan at Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple.The Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple (twin temples) is one of the biggest temples in India. Proceed to Rameshwaram. Distance-132 kms. Day 7 : Rameswaram Early morning have darshan at Ramanatha Swami Temple (Jyothir Ling). A pilgrimage to Rameshwaram is among the important injunctions laid on the Hindu from time immemorial. The great temple of Sri Ramanatha is connected by tradition with Kashi. A pilgrimage to Kashi is not considered complete without a pilgrimage to Rameshwaram. Have darshan at The Great Temple Of Sri Ramanatha. visit Sacred sites nearby the Temple. Day 8 : Rameswaram - Kanyakumari Reach Kanyakumari by evening . distance-300 kms. Located at the Southern most partof India , Kanyakumari is a place at the confluence of the Indian ocean,the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian sea. Witness the setting sun and the rising moon simultaneously over three oceans. Day 9 : Kanyakumari Early morning witness the sunrise and visit The Vivekananda Rock Memorial, built on a huge rock off the shore off Kanyakumari, marks the spot where Swami Vivekananda. Have darshan at Suchindram Temple and Kanya Devi Temple. Day 10 : Kanyakumari - Trivandrum Leave for Trivandrum Visit Padmanabha Swamy temple enroute. Distance- 90 kms. |
