Colombo is a bustling metropolis of big businesses and small
bazaars. Kandy, the last royal citadel, is the cultural centre
and home to the legendary temples and spectacular festivals of the
perahera. Situated on Sri Lanka's southern coast is Bentota,
a stunning beachside location with direct access to the sea. Travel
further down to the ancient port city of Galle, a town within
a medieval fortress; while in Nuwara Eliya, you can visit
the picturesque tea gardens and the dazzling waterfalls. Kandalama
is the home to the famous elephant orphanage and is also a bird
watcher's paradise.

the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic

in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also visit the BMICH, see

* Temple of
the Sacred Tooth Relic -
ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha's Tooth
was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan

most prized possession.
*

village North of Colombo, with a Dutch built Canal.
The canal itself is a hive of activity with all the fishermen
